Overview
A differentiated task ('Building confidence', 'Feeling good', 'Up for a challenge') whereby students construct a chatterbox to demonstrate their understanding of the simple interest formula.
Students use the simple interest formula, as well as transposed variations to be able to calculate interest paid/ earnt, time period, rate or principal.
Students are encouraged to develop the correct answer for either questions provided ('Building confidence') or questions they have developed ('Feeling good' and 'Up for a challenge'), as well as incorrect answers. Thus, considering the different misconceptions which may be held or potential errors they could make when solving similar problems.
